Litigation at the U.S. patent office is male-dominated, report finds

Few women are handling cases at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, an important venue for patent litigation, according to data released on Tuesday by the legal data company Docket Alarm.

In a guest post to the blog PatentlyO, Docket Alarm published data on gender diversity at the 100 law firms that do the most PTAB work. The company found that 55 of the 100 law firms have women work on less than 10 percent of their PTAB cases, and eight of the firms have never had a female lawyer appear in a PTAB case.
