Inventor hits JPMorgan with lawsuit alleging infringement of payment patent

A Philadelphia-based inventor on Thursday hit JPMorgan Chase & Co with a patent infringement lawsuit, less than two months after a U.S. appeals court tossed a similar case he brought against McDonald’s Corp.

William Grecia sued JPMorgan in federal court in Manhattan, alleging infringement of a patent he obtained in 2014 on a cloud-based system for authorizing access to digital content.
