IN BRIEF: Head of Cleary patent practice decamps for Cooley

Cooley on Thursday said it had hired Len Jacoby, the former head of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton’s transactional intellectual property practice, as a partner in its New York office.

Jacoby’s first day at Cooley on Wednesday followed a two-month break to spend time with family, a firm representative said.
