Judge clears Uber of infringing location-sharing patents

Uber Technologies Inc on Tuesday prevailed in a lawsuit accusing it of infringing patents on mobile-device location-sharing technology.

U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose, California ruled that Uber’s ride-hailing app did not infringe two related patents owned by Union City, California-based X One Inc.
