Google loses bid to transfer video playback patent case out of Delaware

Google LLC’s YouTube on Thursday lost a bid to move a Delaware patent case to its home turf in Northern California.

U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika in Wilmington said she would continue to hear a lawsuit filed against YouTube and Google by patent holding firm Virentem Ventures LLC, rejecting YouTube’s argument that the Northern District of California was a clearly more convenient forum.
