Iraqi Kurds will deposit revenues of piped oil sale in Halkbank

ARBIL, Iraq, May 23 (Reuters) - Revenues from the first sale of oil piped from Iraqi Kurdistan will be deposited in Turkey’s Halkbank, the autonomous region’s government said in a statement on Friday.

The statement also said exports of Kurdish oil from the Turkish port of Ceyhan would continue despite opposition from the Iraqi federal government, which considers such sales illegal. (Reporting by Isabel Coles, editing by William Hardy)
