Iraq receives ones bid for Bai Hassan oilfield

BAGHDAD, June 30 (Reuters) - A ConocoPhillips (COP.N)-led consortium was the sole bidder on Tuesday for Iraq’s 2.3 billion barrel Bai Hassan oilfield in northern Kirkuk province, the Oil Ministry said.

The field, which lies in an area contested between semi-autonomous Kurds and the Arab-led government in Baghdad, was one of six oilfields and two gas fields being auctioned off in Iraq’s first major tender since the 2003 U.S. invasion. (Reporting by Missy Ryan; Editing by Michael Christie)
