Jan 20 (Reuters) - Iris International Inc IRIS.O forecast better-than-expected results for the fourth quarter, helped by strong sales of its products, pushing its shares up as much as 17 percent.
The maker of urinalysis systems for use in hospitals and commercial laboratories sees a quarterly profit at 18 cents a share on revenue of $26.7 million.
Analysts expect earnings of 13 cents, before items, on revenue of $25.1 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
Iris shares touched a high of $10.74 but pared some of its gains to trade up $1.47 at $10.64 in morning trade on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Vidya L Nathan in Bangalore; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
