ECONOMY

ISTAT releases September orders and sales data (0900 GMT); September foreign trade data (1000 GMT); October final CPI and HICP data (1100 GMT).

DEBT

Treasury announces minimum guaranteed real coupon for new 4-year ‘BTP Italia’ inflation-linked bond. (*) Italy’s draft budget for 2019 “significantly” deviates from commitments, the vice president of the EU Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said in an interview with daily Il Sole 24 Ore on Friday, threatening a procedure for excessive debt against Rome.

SALINI IMPREGILO, ASTALDI

Italian construction company Salini Impregilo said on Thursday it had presented a non-binding expression of interest for Astaldi, which has filed for creditor protection.

Italy’s Infrastructure minister Danilo Toninelli does not exclude toll road operator Autostrade per l’Italia, a unit of Atlantia, having a role to play in the demolition of the bridge that collapsed in Genoa last summer. But, in an interview with daily La Stampa, he said Autostrade per l’Italia couldn’t play any role in re-building the new bridge and would have to pay for it.

Italian operator WindTre is ready to consider buying a share in the single national telecoms network if it is created in the future, its CEO Jeffrey Hedberg told il Sole 24Ore

UNICREDIT

Italian lender UniCredit on Thursday said that its Austrian business’s Chairman Erich Hampel has resigned from the Board and will also step down from all other functions within the group.

FINCANTIERI

The shipbuilder said on Thursday it had been awarded a contract of over 200 million euros by Windstar Cruises.

AUTOMAKERS

U.S. automakers and parts suppliers on Thursday urged the Trump administration to end steel and aluminum tariffs on Mexico and Canada and warned that potential U.S. national security tariffs on automotive imports would lead to widespread job losses.

IVS

IVS said on Thursday its 9-month net profit rose 18.6 million euros.
