Japan econmin: BOJ easing was significantly bold

TOKYO, April 4 (Reuters) - Japanese Economics Minister Akira Amari said on Thursday that the Bank of Japan’s easing decision was a significantly bold one that exceeded most expectations.

The BOJ set itself on course towards achieving its two percent inflation goal, Amari told reporters.

The central bank decided on a radical overhaul of its policy framework on Thursday, shifting its target when setting monetary policy to base money from the current overnight call rate.
