TOKYO, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso said on Wednesday that he was not considering lowering the sales tax as a part of stimulus measures to support the economy amid the coronavirus crisis.
Aso told parliament that the sales tax, which the government raised last year, was needed to finance bulging social security costs. (Reporting by Kaori Kaneko; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
