Japan's Hirano says no plan to sell US Treasuries

TOKYO, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Japan’s top government spokesman said on Friday that the government had no plan to sell U.S. Treasuries.

“There is no such plan at all at this point in the government,” said Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirofumi Hirano when asked about market speculation that the government was considering selling Treasuries to improve Japanese government finances.
