Brazil's BNDES seeks injunction to bar Batistas' vote in JBS meeting

SAO PAULO, Aug 31 (Reuters) - The investment arm of Brazil’s state development bank, BNDES, is seeking a judicial order barring meatpacker JBS SA’s controlling family from casting ballots on Friday’s shareholder meeting that would decide on the removal of Chief Executive Wesley Batista.

The request was filed by BNDES Participações, according to the federal justice of São Paulo state. It comes days after securities industry watchdog CVM allowed the Batista family to vote in the assembly. (Reporting by Alberto Alerigi Jr; Writing by Guillermo Parra-Bernal)
