Obama expected to nominate Kerry for State Department

WASHINGTON, Dec 15 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to nominate Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry to succeed Hillary Clinton as secretary of State, a source familiar with the process said on Saturday.

The source said an announcement could come as early as this coming week.
