N.Korea official says two Koreas want six party talks soon-report

SEOUL, July 22 (Reuters) - The North and South Korean nuclear envoys agreed on Friday to hold six party talks as soon as possible, Yonhap news agency quoted a North Korean official as saying, in what appeared to be breakthrough in contacts between the rivals.

“We have agreed to make efforts to resume six-party talks as soon as possible,” said Ri Yong-ho after talks with his South Korean counterpart Wi Sung-lac on the sidelines of an Asian security conference in Bali. (Reporting by Jeremy Laurence)
