KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Reuters) - Malaysia’s gross international reserves rose to $102.5 billion, as of April 30, from $102 billion on April 15, the central bank said on Friday.

The reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.9 months of retained imports and is 1.1 times total short-term external debt, Bank Negara Malaysia said. (Reporting by Mei Mei Chu; Editing by Muralikumar Anantharaman)
