European stock index futures signal higher open

LONDON, July 9 (Reuters) - European stock futures pointed to a higher open on Tuesday, with a good start to the second-quarter earnings season and growing optimism about the health of the U.S. economy following recent data boosting sentiment.

At 0606 GMT, futures for the Euro STOXX 50, Britain’s FTSE 100, Germany’s DAX and France’s CAC were 0.6 to 0.8 percent higher.
