“We’re in the process of considering some changes to the contract. Because there’s currently no open interest, we went ahead and delisted the contract,” said Sarah Stashak, director of ICE investor and public relations.
Stashak would not elaborate why ICE was considering changes or what changes could be made.
“Nothing definitive has been put into place yet,” Stashak said.
ICE will list no new futures or options contract months until further notice, the exchange said in a statement.
The CRB comprises futures in live cattle, cotton, soybeans, sugar, frozen concentrated orange juice, wheat, cocoa, corn, gold, aluminum, nickel, unleaded gasoline, crude oil, natural gas, heating oil, coffee, silver, copper and lean hogs.
