U.S. 30-yr bond rallies a point after Obama victory

NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Reuters) - The price of U.S. 30-year Treasury bonds extended a gain to a point on Wednesday following the re-election of President Barack Obama.

The 30-year bond rose 1-3/32, allowing its yield to fall to 2.86 percent from 2.92 percent late on Tuesday.

Obama scored a clear win over Republican challenger Mitt Romney in Tuesday’s vote.
