Hasbro uses option to buy back Lucas warrants

NEW YORK, May 10 (Reuters) - Hasbro Inc. HAS.N, the world's second-largest toymaker, on Thursday said it exercised an option to repurchase $200 million in outstanding warrants for its common stock held by Lucasfilm Ltd.

Hasbro said Lucas won’t hold any warrants to buy its shares after it closes the call option deal, which the toy maker on May 24.

Hasbro, which makes the Transformers toys tied to the film debuting July 4, said it will see a second-quarter charge of $36.5 million from the repurchase.
