owned by European or U.S. firms. The biggest Mexican banks are
Grupo Financiero Banorte GFNORTEO.MX and Carlos Slim's Grupo
Financiero Inbursa GFINBURO.MX. The data is from Mexico's
National Banking and Securities Commission and is current
through the end of January.
