Mexican peso up nearly 1.8 pct after U.S. deal avoided tariffs

MEXICO CITY, June 9 (Reuters) - Mexico’s peso currency gained 1.77% on Sunday in Asian markets, following a migration deal announced on Friday between U.S. and Mexican negotiators that for now removed President Donald Trump’s threatened tariffs on goods from its southern neighbor.
