* BAGHDAD - A bomb planted in a cafe killed two people and wounded 15 others in Baghdad's central Kesra district, police said.
* BAGHDAD - A bomb hidden on a motorcycle killed eight people and wounded 13 others in eastern Baghdad's district of New Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Bank robbers shot dead eight people at a Baghdad branch of state-owned Rafidain bank in central Karrada district, before blasting open its vault with sticks of dynamite and stealing 8 billion Iraqi dinars ($6.84 million), police said.
MOSUL - A militant shot dead a civilian in southeastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, on Monday, police said.
MOSUL - A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol wounded three civilians in northern Mosul on Monday, police said. The policemen in the patrol escaped unharmed.
