(Adds details)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Workers at Mosaic Co.’s (MOS.N) Colonsay potash operations in Western Canada have ratified a new three-year contract, the United Steelworkers union said on Thursday.

The contract includes a base wage increase of 5 percent in the first year and 5.5 percent in the second and third years, with premiums for tradespeople. Office and technical employees will get a 5.5 percent increase in all three years.

The union represents just over 350 employees at the facility, which is located about an hour drive east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The new agreement expires at the end of April 2012. (Reporting by Allan Dowd; editing by Rob Wilson)
