NEW YORK (Billboard) - Ever the perfectionist, Neil Young is taking yet more time to complete the first volume of his long-awaited “Archives” series.

The project was originally expected in the fall through his Reprise Records label, but is now due to appear in early 2008, according to sources.

“Archives” is expected to feature eight audio CDs and four DVDs of unheard material, including material cut with Young’s early Canadian band the Squires, recordings from the period during which he lived in Topanga Canyon, Calif., and a live disc drawn from a week’s worth of concerts from the Toronto venue the Riverboat.
