South Africa's Naspers gets shareholder approval to list unit

Aug 23 (Reuters) - E-commerce giant Naspers said on Friday it had received shareholders’ approval to list its newly created Prosus subsidiary on Euronext Amsterdam.

The company said it was on track to list the unit on Euronext Amsterdam on Sept. 11, along with a secondary, inward listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Naspers, which expects to own 73% of Prosus, was forced to delay the listing from June, following an administrative error by a third party involved in the planned flotation. (Reporting by Samantha Machado in Bengaluru; Editing by Shinjini Ganguli)
