S.Africa's Nedbank posts higher half-year profit

JOHANNESBURG, Aug 6 (Reuters) - South African lender Nedbank said on Tuesday its headline earnings per share for the six months to June 30 rose 3.5% from the same period last year.

The lender, one of South Africa’s largest, said headline earnings per share - the main profit measure in South Africa - stood at 1,435 cents ($0.9687), compared to 1,387 cents in 2018. ($1 = 14.8132 rand) (Reporting by Emma Rumney; Editing by Subhranshu Sahu)
