MANAGUA, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Inflation in Nicaragua reached 13.77 percent last year, the country’s central bank said on Friday, driven by higher international food prices.
As part of a lending program with the International Monetary Fund, Nicaragua agreed in September to limit inflation to 18 percent in 2008.
Nicaraguan inflation in 2007 was 16.88 percent. (Reporting by Ivan Castro; editing by Carol Bishopric)
