Shell confirms Nigeria attack, shuts in production

LAGOS, May 3 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) said on Saturday it had shut down some more of its production in Nigeria’s restive Niger Delta after a fresh militant attack on a flowstation in Bayelsa state.

"A few oil delivery lines are affected and some oil has spilled into the environment," a Shell spokesman said. "We are mobilising containment booms to stop the spread of oil and have also shut in some production volumes."
