BP well-testing may continue in 24-hour increments

HOUSTON, July 19 (Reuters) - The top U.S. oil spill official said on Sunday that pressure testing on the crippled BP (BP.N) (BP.L) well in the Gulf of Mexico may be extended in 24-hour increments, the government said in a statement.

    The testing began as a 48-hour test on Thursday and was extended on Saturday for another 24 hours with additional monitoring and evaluation by scientists. (Reporting by Eileen O‘Grady)
