HOUSTON, Nov 21 (Reuters) - More than a dozen ships were still waiting to enter the Houston Ship Channel early Wednesday after dense fog clogged traffic on Monday and Tuesday, pilots said.
There was no fog impeding vessel movement Wednesday, a dispatcher for the Houston Pilots Association said at 6:15 a.m. CST (1215 GMT).
However, about 18 ships were still waiting inbound because it took time to clear out the build-up of 50 ships inbound and outbound delayed by the fog, the dispatcher said.
Outbound traffic had cleared since the channel reopened Tuesday, the dispatcher said. (Reporting by Bruce Nichols; Editing by John Picinich)
