Israel's Netanyahu unveils U.S. plan for new talks

JERUSALEM, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showed ministers a five-point U.S. peace plan that includes a 90-day settlement freeze, a diplomatic source said on Saturday.

The U.S. plan also includes a pledge not to seek any further extension to the freeze and calls for various U.S. security guarantees for after a peace deal is signed.

Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, renewed under Washington’s sponsorship on Sept. 2, broke down a few weeks later when Israel balked at renewing a settlement moratorium. (Writing by Allyn Fisher-Ilan; Editing by Louise Ireland)
