Amy Poehler lands sidekick for NBC comedy

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Upright Citizens Brigade player Aubrey Plaza has landed a co-starring role on UCB alumna Amy Poehler’s upcoming NBC comedy series.

The untitled project, from “The Office” masterminds Greg Daniels and Mike Schur, is set in the office of Amy (Poehler), deputy chairman of the department of parks and recreations in Pawnee, Ind. Plaza will play April, an intern who shadows her.

Plaza also has been cast in the Universal comedy feature “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” opposite “Juno” veteran Michael Cera. She will play Julie, a record store employee.
