Peru cenbank buys $109 mln, sol gains 0.25 pct

LIMA, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Peru central bank bought $109 million in the local spot market on Thursday as the sol strengthened 0.25 percent to end bidding 3.209 per dollar, tracking demand for emerging market assets and minerals that Peru exports.

A calmer political outlook after President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski narrowly survived an impeachment bid last month has also helped the sol, traders said.
