Peru says May inflation was 0.2%, 12-month rate 1.78%

LIMA, June 1 (Reuters) - Consumer prices in Peru rose 0.2% May, up from 0.1% in April amid high demand for pharmaceutical products needed to treat the coronavirus pandemic, government data showed on Monday, bringing 12-month inflation to 1.78%.

Peru’s inflation rate in May 2019 was 1.5%.
