Peru central bank holds key interest rate at 2.75 pct

LIMA, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Peru’s central bank set the benchmark interest rate at 2.75 percent on Thursday for the sixth month in a row, noting inflation within the bank’s target range and signs of more dynamic economic growth.

The market does not expect the bank to hike the key rate until next year, the central bank president said last month. (Reporting by Mitra Taj, editing by G Crosse)
