Petrobras finds more oil, gas in offshore bloc

BRASILIA, July 4 (Reuters) - Petrobras PETR4.SAPBR.N said on Monday it had made two additional discoveries of oil and gas in a concession it partly owns off the coast of Espirito Santo state.

The discoveries were made 115 kilometers from the coast in the BM-ES-23 concession, in block ES-M-525 and at a water depth of 1,900 meters. No estimate of the size of the find was given.

Petrobras, Brazil’s state-owned oil and gas company, is the operator and majority stakeholder in the concession, with a 65 percent share. Shell Brasil Petroleo Ltda has a 20 percent stake and the remaining 15 percent belongs to Inpex Petroleo Santos Ltda. (Reporting by Peter Murphy; Editing by Steve Orlofsky)
