Premier Foods first-half profit rises on Mr Kipling cakes boost

Nov 12 (Reuters) - Britain’s Premier Foods Plc reported higher first-half adjusted pretax profit on Tuesday, as its relaunched Mr Kipling cakes brand benefited from a TV advertising push and sales of its Nissin branded range of products more than doubled.

The Bisto gravy and Oxo cube maker, which shuffled its top management earlier this year, said adjusted pretax profit rose 5% to 31.7 million pounds ($40.56 million) for the six months ended Sept. 28.
