Talc MDL plaintiffs oppose clawback of internal Imerys emails

Women alleging in a multidistrict litigation that Johnson & Johnson and Imerys Talc America’s talc-based products cause ovarian cancer have said Imerys should not be allowed to retrieve certain emails it turned over in discovery and that those emails should be made public.

The MDL plaintiffs’ steering committee in a Tuesday letter addressed to U.S. District Judge Freda Wolfson in Newark, New Jersey said Imerys would not have disclosed the emails during the discovery process if they were not relevant to the allegations.
