Thai PTTEP's Bongkot field halted for repair - PTT

BANGKOK, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Thailand’s PTT Exploration and Production PCL PTTE.BK has halted operations in a part of its Bongkot natural gas field in the Gulf of Thailand for temporary repairs, parent firm PTT PCL (PTT.BK) said on Sunday.

Output at the gas field will decline from normal levels during the repairs, PTT’s executive Permsak Shevawattananon said in a statement, which gave no other details.

The repairs that started on Saturday were on a gas pipeline at the Bongkok field, a PTT official who declined to be named told Reuters.

“It is a small problem on the surface of the gas pipeline. The repair work should be finished soon,” the official said.

PTT Exploration owns 44.45 percent of the Bongkot field, with Total E&P Thailand, a unit of France’s Total (TOTF.PA) having 33.33 percent. The remaining 22.22 percent is held by BG Asia Pacific Pte, part of BG Group BG.L.
