ATHENS, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Greece’s biggest electricity utility, Public Power Corp. (PPC), has pushed back the deadline for the expression of interest for a majoirty stake in the country’s sole grid operator HEDNO, it said on Friday.
PPC, which is 51% owned by the state, had set Jan. 29 as the deadline for the submission of non-binding bids for HEDNO. The new deadline is Feb. 19, it said on Friday.
PPC is selling a 49% stake in HEDNO which it fully owns. HEDNO operates Greece’s only 242,000 km-long (150,000 mile-long) power distribution grid. (Reporting by Angeliki Koutantou, editing by Louise Heavens)
