LONDON, May 22 (Reuters) - British car production fell 55.3 percent in April versus a year ago, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said on Friday.
The industry group said 68,258 cars were produced in April. In the year-to-date, there were 251,268 cars produced, 56.2 percent lower than a year earlier.
Commercial vehicle production fell 65.2 percent on the year in April, leaving total vehicle production down 56.5 percent on a year ago.
