MOSCOW, April 18 (Reuters) - Russian president-elect Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the formation of a working group to resolve a dispute over a share sale by power producer TGK-11 TGKK.MM, the head of the country's former power monopoly said on Friday.
"The president (elect) has got involved in the negotiations and on his order the working group has been established," Unified Energy System (UES) EESR.MM head Anatoly Chubais told reporters.
“This gives us confidence that the government will finally rein in a government company,” Chubais said.
State-controlled oil major Rosneft ROSN.MM succeeded last month in getting a Russian court to freeze an additional share issue by TGK-11 initially planned for March until a legal dispute is resolved. (Reporting by Simon Shuster, editing by Robin Paxton)
