LJUBLJANA, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Slovenia’s main gas supplier Geoplin said on Friday it may have to reduce or cut gas supplies to its industrial customers due to a lack of Russian gas unless supplies increase soon.
“If supplies do not reach the level of supplies we had before January 6 shortly, Geoplin will be forced to inform industrial consumers of temporary reductions or cuts of gas supply,” head of Geoplin Alojz Stana said in a statement.
Slovenia has received no gas from Russia since early on Wednesday. Stana said there would be no reductions for non-industry consumers. (Reporting by Marja Novak; Edited by Sue Thomas)
