India's Ranbaxy gets WHO approval for AIDS drug

MUMBAI, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Ranbaxy Laboratories RANB.BO, India's top drug maker by sales, said on Thursday it received the World Health Organization pre-qualification for its Indinavir anti-retroviral AIDS drug.

Pre-qualification acts as a guide to United Nations agencies and countries that select suppliers for drugs. (Reporting by Pratish Narayanan; Editing by John Mair)
