MOSCOW, July 9 (Reuters) - Finland supports Russia’s plans to join the World Trade Organisation and, despite a trade battle over wood duties, would not object to its eastern neighbour’s bid, a senior Finnish official said on Wednesday.
“Russia is now and is going to be an ever bigger trading partner in the world so it would be a little bit ... abnormal for it not to be a member of WTO,” the official told Reuters.
“We very much hope the Russians can join the WTO, and as quickly as possible,” he said.
