ST PETERSBURG, Russia, June 4 (Reuters) - Russian oil major LUKOIL LKOH.MM may pay more than $1.5 billion to buy out BP's BP.L share in venture LukArco, which has production and transport assets, the head of LUKOIL said on Thursday.
Vagit Alekperov told reporters he also expected LUKOIL’s oil production to be around 97-98 million tonnes this year.
LukArco has a stake in Kazakhstan’s pipeline consortium CPC and a stake in Tengizchevroil, Kazakhstan’s largest oil producer. (Reporting by Denis Pinchuk, writing by Dmitry Zhdannikov; editing by Maria Kiselyova)
