Gazprom says eyes third partner for South Stream

MOSCOW, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Russia's gas export monopoly Gazprom GAZP.MM said on Tuesday it considering adding a third partner to its South Stream gas pipeline consortium with Italy's ENI ENI.MI.

The statement came after Gazprom’s chief executive Alexei Miller met ENI’s chief Paolo Scaroni in Moscow to discuss joint projects.

Gazprom and ENI own 50 percent each in a consortium that will build the section of the gas pipeline under the Black Sea to deliver Russian gas to south European nations.
