LONDON, Nov 6 (Reuters) - British telcoms testing firm Spirent Communications SPT.L named insider William Burns as its new chief executive on Thursday and said it expected its earnings performance for the year to be in line with forecasts.
Burns was previously chief executive of Spirent’s Communications group, responsible for the overall leadership, strategy and investments across the Communication unit businesses.
Revenue grew by 9 percent, operating profit by 31 percent and earnings per share by 44 percent compared to the third quarter last year.
“We continue to anticipate that the earnings performance for the year will be in line with our expectations,” they said.
