CALGARY, Alberta, April 27 (Reuters) - Suncor Energy Inc’s (SU.TO) Montreal refinery was “rocked by a series of explosions” on Tuesday, a local newspaper reported.
The blasts occurred at Suncor’s 130,000 barrel a day Petro-Canada refinery around 4:45 local time, the Montreal Gazette reported, quoting police. Emergency crews were said to be on the scene, and there were no injuries reported.
Suncor said last week the refinery was due to undergo five weeks of planned maintenance beginning April 28. (Reporting by Jeffrey Jones; editing by Rob Wilson)
